2 Dead, Eight Injured In Benin-Ore highway, Ogun State

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC)
Two persons have died in a fatal crash that occurred after JA area of Ogbere, along the Benin-Ore highway, Ogun State.
The accident happened at about 9:30pm on Sunday, involving a Toyota bus with registration number, APP86 7XZ, belonging to Samino Motors and a Benz truck, marked KJA376 XN.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun State confirmed that a total number of 10 persons were involved in the accident, five men and five women.

The FRSC spokesperson in Ogun, Florence Okpe, said two men died in the incident, while others sustained varying degrees of injuries.

“The suspected cause was speeding, which led to loss of control.

“The Injured victims were taken to State General Hospital, Ijebu-Ode, while the dead were deposited at the morgue.

“The Sector Commander of the FRSC, Ogun Sector Command cautions motorists on excessive speed, especially at night when visibility is poor.

“He also commiserated with the family and asked them to contact FRSC Ogbere outpost for more information,”

Okpe said.
