The super falcons of Nigeria has defeated host nation, Australia by 3 goals to 2 to record their first win in the ongoing 2023 women’s world cup tournament.

With the full backing of a rancourous crowd in Sydney, Alanna Kennedy added a second goal for Australia 10 minutes into added time to make it 2-3.

The super falcons didnt falter despite the immense presure from the host as they desperately search for an equalizer, with Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie in great form as the Falcons held on to an historic win.
