The federal government of Nigeria has said 40 buses evacuating Nigerians trapped in Sudan due to the Ongoing civil unrest has cost the country a whooping 1.2 million dollars.

It could be recalled that A conflict broke out in the North African country earlier this month and the crisis has continued to escalate in recent days.

This has led to a Nationwide call for a swift move to evacuate Nigerian students and residents in the crisis-ridden country back to their respective homes safely.

Federal Government on its part had disclosed that flight evacuation is not feasible due to the closure of airports in Sudan, which leaves the country with no other option than to use the road.
