Alex Collins was a former NFL running back who played for the Seattle Seahawks and the Baltimore Ravens.

He was born on August 26, 1994, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and attended the University of Arkansas, where he played college football.

Collins was known for his impressive running skills and was a fifth-round draft pick by the Seattle Seahawks in 2016.

He played for the Seahawks for one season before being released and then signed with the Baltimore Ravens in 2017.

Collins played for the Ravens for two seasons before being released in 2019.

On August 15, 2023, Collins died in a motorcycle crash in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida.

He was driving a motorcycle that crashed into a sport-utility vehicle. Collins was 28 years old at the time of his death.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.

TMZ Sports obtained and shared the 911 audio of the fatal crash that claimed the life of the former Arkansas Razorbacks standout.

The woman driving the Chevrolet Suburban SUV at the time of the crash told a 911 dispatchers that she couldn’t locate the motorcyclist who she said “hit me from behind.”

“I’m trying to figure out where he is,” the woman said.

Bystanders in the background can be heard telling the 911 dispatcher that Collins was in the car and yelling for the woman to open the door.

According to police reports, Collins was riding a 2004 Suzuki motorcycle eastbound when he clipped a woman traveling westbound in a 2002 Chevy Suburban SUV while attempting a left turn.

“According to investigators, at some point, the Chevrolet driver proceeded to turn left to travel south onto Northwest 33rd Avenue. As the car crossed the eastbound lanes, the motorcycle struck the rear passenger side of the SUV.

“The impact caused the motorcyclist to enter the rear passenger side window of the Chevrolet and come to a final rest inside the car. The collision also caused the Chevrole to rotate clockwise before finally resting,” the report states.

Collins was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the Chevrolet cooperated with the Broward Sheriff’s Office’s investigation into the crash, which is ongoing.
