Mr. Reddy said in a post: “My sincere request to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vishno to set up a high-level review committee to thoroughly review all these aspects, not just this lines, and all lines across the country.” X.

A preliminary railway investigation into the accident in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday night has revealed that the driver and passengers of the Rayagada passenger train were responsible for the accident when the train passed two defective car signals that violated norms. Both crew members died in the accident.

It was concluded that the Rayagada Passenger Train (08504) hit the Visakhapatnam Palasa Passenger Train (08532) from behind as the crew of the former passed two damaged carriage signals.
