A video is making the rounds on social media that reveals the childhood home of award winning Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun professionally known as Wizkid in Surulere and has generated mixed reactions among netizens.

Recall that Wizkid, the “Essence” crooner hails from Ojuelegba, Surulere in Lagos. The clip of the house that hit the internet however triggered many reactions as many concluded that the Grammy award winner starts from nothing to something.

According to a security officer in the video, Wizkid was born in the quiet old house accompanied with a faded yellow paint.

The whole house is made of a single entrance with the backside looking bushy and the surroundings in a state of bad condition.

Fortunately, Wizkid since he breaks into the Nigerian music has been putting the country name on the world map. He has released a lot of songs with massive hits, shutdown concerts and he is well known for letting Afrobeat to be recognized globally.

Presently, he is a Grammy-Award winner, has the highest awards at the headies, bags several international music awards among others. As at the moment of filling this report Wizkid is a billionaire and worth over $50m (N27,000,000,000).

Wizkid growth from nothing to something has sparked reactions among netizens as many concluded that he went through so much struggles when compared to his colleague, David Adeleke professionally known as Davido who comes from a very wealthy family.
