Breaking: One Dead, 20 Escape From Multiple Accident On Lagos - Ibadan Expressway

An accident occurred today, 9th February on the Lagos – Ibadan expresssway has left one person dead while 20 others managed to escape unhurt.

This unfortunate incident occurred around kara bridge.

According to Ogun State Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr Ahmed Umar, the crash involved Seven vehicles. These includes a Toyota Siena with registration numbers RSH492XE, a Toyota Camry with reg mo MUS479HE, FGG685XY TOYOTA HIACE BUS , FST907HK LEXUS SUV, FST904 HK , LEXUS SUV, A TOYOTA LAND CRUISER WITH NO REGISTRATION ON IT AND A MACK TRUCK.

Mr Umar further stated that the rescue operation was carried out by FRSC operatives and other sisters organization. He also said the suspected cause of the multiple crash was brake failure on the part of the truck.

According to the FRSC commander, the injured victim had been taken to Accident Emergency centre, ojota for medical attention. the corpse of the deceased was taken away by the Hausa community for burial according to Islamic rites.
