There was wild celebrations in the streets of Abia State as INEC declares Labour party candidate, Alex Otti winner of the state’s Governorship election.

According to residents, this represents a positive shift from the state which has been under PDP administration for the past 24 years.

Otti polled a total of 175, 467 votes to defeat his closest rival, Chief Okey Ahiwe of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party who scored 88,529 votes.
