Westham 1 –  1  Chelsea

Chelsea were held to a third consecutive draw today in an action-packed encounter at the London stadium.

Having played a goalless draw in their last two games, the blues head to a much improved Hammers side with high hopes of securing maximum points.

As expected, The visitors started brightly and took a deserved lead with just 16 minutes on the clock.

Record signing, Enzo Fernandez superbly set up the returning Joao Felix to slot home beyond Westham’s goalkeeper, Lukasz Fabianski.

The home side responded brightly to this setback and found an immediate equalizer through former blues defender, Emerson Palmieri.

Both teams pushed for a winning goal in the second half. Westham had a goal ruled out as Var ruled that Declan Rice was marginally offside before Tomas Soucek bundled the ball home in the 84th minute.

There was still enough time for mild drama as Var failed to review an apparent handball in Westham’s penalty area late in the game.

In the end, both teams had to share the spoils and walk home with a point apiece.

Arsenal 1 – 1 Brentford

In another high-profile game today, table toppers Arsenal dropped points in the title race as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Brentford at the emirates.

After a goalless first half, the gunners took the lead through substitute Leandro trossard midway through the second half.

Newcastle United maintains its unbeaten run in the premier league. The toons secure a  point at the vitality stadium against Bournemouth.

The home side took the lead through Marco Senesi. Newcastle United’s winger Miguel Almiron scored on the stroke of halftime to secure his side a point.

Leicester City 4  –  1  Tottenham Hotspur

In other results, Leicester city walloped Tottenham 4-1 at the king power stadium. Brighton and crystal place played out a 1-1 draw at Selhurst park.

Fulham   2  –  0   Nottingham forest

Fulham continued their impressive run of form by defeating Nottingham forest 2-0 at graven cottage.

Southampton 1 – 2  Wolves

Wolverhampton wanderers staged an impressive comeback to beat Southampton at Saint Mary’s.

Shortly after the home side took the lead through Carlos Alcaraz, Wolves Midfielder Mario lemina got himself sent off in the first half for two bookable offences.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, the visitors secure the three points through a Jan bedranek own goal and a late winner from Joao Gomes.
