EPL: He doesn’t know how to play football – Cassano criticizes Haaland
Former Roma player, Antonio Cassano has hit out at Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, saying that the Norwegian “doesn’t know how to play football.”
Erling Haaland of Manchester City has come under fire from ex-Roma player Antonio Cassano, who claims the Norwegian “doesn’t know how to play football.”
Despite being pleased by Haaland’s physical attributes, Cassano doesn’t consider the Premier League record-breaker to be a good footballer.
“Haaland reminds me of the stage that Adriano had at Inter,” Cassano remarked on Bobo TV. Ibrahimovic has the speed of Adriano. Yes, all right. Even though Ibra [Ibrahimovic] was more technical than Haaland, I still concur.
“He is a mix of Adriano and Vieri.
“There are other strikers who know how to play football, like Lewandowski and Benzema. He [Haaland] does not know how to play football. He is a great scorer, he is phenomenal. But don’t you prefer a striker who knows how to play football?”
