Former Nigerian Super Eagles Coach Pens Three-Year deal with Benin Republic

Former Nigerian super eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has penned a three-year deal with Benin Republic.

The German will become the country’s football coach and will be unveiled on Friday, March 3rd, 2023.

Rohr was sacked by the Nigeria Football Federation in December 2021 despite helping the Super Eagles qualify for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

He also guided the team to the final qualifying round for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The gaffer has previously managed the Gabon, Niger Republic, and Burkina Faso national teams.

He will now take charge of the team from former Benin international, Moussa Latoundji, who has been in temporary charge.
