Give Students One-week Holiday To Go And Vote - Peter Obi Urges Tertiary Institutions
Labor party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi has urged the authorities of all Nigerian tertiary institutions to give students a one-week holiday to allow them to vote in the forthcoming elections.
He made this assertion while speaking at a meeting with members of the European Union Election Observation Union (EU-EOM) on Monday evening.
“I am sure INEC will do the right thing. I am sure the universities will give them the break (at least one week) to go and vote. It is important because it is about their future. This election is about these young people and I’m sure they will allow them to go and vote. We will continue to mention it to them as we go along,” Obi said.
