England International forward, Mason Greenwood has opened his goalscoring account in La Liga with a goal in Getafe’s 2-2 draw at Celta Vigo on Sunday.

The strike was his first in Getafe colors since sealing a loan move from Manchester United after missing out for over a year through suspension.

Borja Mayoral had earlier put Getafe ahead after just two minutes, Iago Aspas had missed a penalty and Jonathan Bamba had leveled for Celta before Getafe defender Domingos Duarte was sent off.

Greenwood put the visitors 2-1 up in the 33rd minute with a first-time, far-post finish but was replaced in the 61st minute, as coach Jose Bordalas introduced defensive midfielder Mauro Arambarri due to his team’s numerical disadvantage.

So far, Greenwood has now made five LaLiga appearances for Getafe with two as a starter since joining on loan from United on Sept. 1.
