Early this Monday, a Honduran living in Nicaragua took the life of his sister-in-law with a machete and left his wife badly injured.

The violent incident occurred when 30-year-old Licar Michell Bonaparte arrived in an alleged state of intoxication to his victim’s house, located in the community of Lamlaya, Puerto Cabezas.

Bonaparte was screaming and making a big fuss, when he suddenly hit the woman, identified as Johsy Panting López , in the neck with a machete , according to local media.

Upon seeing the scene, his wife, Aracely Panting López, 29, tried to intervene to prevent her sister’s death, but ended up with several injuries.

They captured him
After killing Johsy , who leaves two children aged 8 and 3, the catracho fled to take refuge in his aunt’s house, whom he kidnapped and threatened so that she would not hand him over.

Neighbors tried to enter the house and take justice into their own hands , but they were calmed down by the police authorities, who captured Licar, who is dedicated to diving.
