Santiago Z\u00faniga<\/strong>, known as ‘apostle Chago ‘, was transferred in a wheelchair from the Western Penitentiary Center of Santa Ana to the holding cells of San Miguel, in El Salvador, as part of the judicial process he faces in that country.<\/p>\n

Prior to his incarceration in San Miguel , authorities transferred the preacher to San Juan de Dios Hospital, where he underwent a routine medical check-up to monitor his treatment, according to available reports.<\/p>\n

Judicial process and scheduled hearing
\nSources close to the case indicated that the priest is in good health. Meanwhile, preparations are underway for the hearing scheduled for today, in which judicial authorities will determine the course of the proceedings against him.<\/p>\n

The case of Z\u00faniga has garnered public attention since February 4, when agents of the National Civil Police of El Salvador intercepted him at the El Amatillo border crossing. This occurred while he was traveling in a vehicle in which a minor was also a passenger.<\/p>\n
