Kaduna government to consolidate 359 schools due to repeated kidnappings
The Kaduna state government has announced that it will expel 359 students from the same school due to the continuous attack by kidnappers on their school.
Governor Uba Sani, who was represented by his chief of staff, Sani Kila, made the speech at a seminar on gender in schools in the state.
He said the government is ready to evacuate the students from the schools in the areas where the kidnappers attack and go to our women’s areas.
In his statement, Kila said that they developed a program to protect the students under the ‘Safe School Initiative’ program that was established by the federal government.
He added that Kaduna state is one of the states where gunmen, kidnappers and kidnappers attack the most in Nigeria, and the continuous attacks have damaged the state’s economy.
The representative of the governor said further that “Kaduna state is facing a big problem in the education department, and 200,000 students ran away from school, and refused to enroll in the 2022/2023 season.
This means that 2,111,969 students are registered in 2021/2022 and 1,734,704 students are registered in 2022/2023.
“In many local governments, especially in Chikun, Birnin gwari, Kajuru, Giwa, and Igabi, the poor gender system there does not allow many students to drop out of school.
“The plan was to abduct 135 students from Lea primary school and the same secondary school in Kuriga, Chikun local government.”
Yes, it has been over ten years that Kaduna state has been dealing with the problem of kidnapping and extortion.
There is no country that can improve its future in the world if gunmen are disrupting its schools.
He concluded that disabled guards must prepare their work properly and solve the problem of women in the state.
