Harry Kane was on Target for Bayern Munich as the Bavarian club defeated Manchester United 4-3 in a thrilling Champions League game on Wednesday.

The England striker cooly dispatched a penalty awarded for a handball by Christian Eriksen in an entertaining game that ended with a flurry of late goals.

United started on the front foot with Eriksen going agonisingly close in the fourth minute only to see his shot blocked by Bayern keeper Sven Ulreich.

However, it was the home side that took the lead through Leroy Sane, whose tame shot was misjudged by André Onana putting Bayern in front, and letting the ball slip past him and into the back of the net.

Serge Gnabry doubled Bayern lead in the 32nd minutes to put the hosts firmly in the driving seat with injury-hit United, but United pulled a goal back in the 49th through Rasmus Hojlund’s deflected effort.

Kane got on the scoresheet to make it 3-1 before Casemiro slotted in from close range in the 88th minute to give United a glimmer of hope in the closing stages.

But Bayern substitute, Mathys Tel scored once more in stoppage time before Casemiro headed in another for United with the last move of the game.
