The re-signing of Lionel Messi from Paris Saint-Germain this summer may require Barcelona to sell three important players.

Spanish news outlet Fichajes claims that Barcelona is willing to release players like Franck Kessie, Raphinha, and Andreas Christensen from their contracts in order to raise money for their idol, Messi.

In August 2021, Messi decided to leave Barcelona for PSG.

However, a return to Camp Nou has long been rumored, and now that his deal with PSG is set to end in June, his future is once again in question.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta recently confirmed Messi’s return to the club when a fan asked him about the same in a recent clip that went viral on social media.

However, given Barcelona’s financial constraints right at the moment, signing Messi back won’t be that straightforward, as the Blaugrana will have to lighten up their wage bill first by selling off some players such as Kessie, Raphinha and Christensen, according to the report.
