Long queues as citizens rush for new naira notes ahead of CBN deadline (photos)

With CBN deadline for the validity of old naira notes just seven days away, long queues have been observed in Banks ATM across the country.

According to reports from Kano, nothing less than 50 persons are seen on queue wait in in line to make withdrawals. While some of the banks have as many as 10 ATM machines, only one or two of them is functional, making residents spend more time on queue.

Speaking to reporters, Ibrahim Kinchi, a resident who came to withdraw new notes lamented; “I came here before 7am and all I am able to withdraw is just #20,000. My daily needs have exceeded that and i’m not really about it”.
