Lovely Scenes As Bukayo Saka Visits Grandparents In Kwara State
Arsenal star, Bukayo Saka has today June 6 paid a courtesy visit to his grandparents in Oro, Irepodun Local Government Area, Kwara State.
The England wing wizard has been in Nigeria for a while following the end of the Premier League season as part of his vacation.
Saka was born on September 5, 2001, in Ealing, London, to Yoruba Nigerian parents, Adenike and Yomi Saka.
He was spotted in Bariga Lagos, where teeming Arsenal fans showered him with affection before visiting Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in his off on Saturday.
The Governor expressed delight over the visit by Saka, saying that he was excited to receive a signed shirt from the player.
As part of his continued your around the Nigeria, the 21-year-old has now been spotted with his grandparents in Kwara State.
Sharing the photo on his Twitter handle, Abdul A Bello wrote:
“Bukayo Saka at ORO, Kwara State with grandparents. Proudly to be Kwara.”
“This is not surprising though, most of my school mates from Lagos in high school who came back to school in Ilorin traced their family tree to Oro.” commented an online user.
“I always suspected his originally from Kwara considering the name ‘Saka’. I even thought he’s from Ilorin gangan.” wrote another.
Saka is expected to fly back to north London in the next few days to recharge his batteries in preparation ahead of next premier league season with Arsenal.
