Nigerian Students In The UK, Others Risk Deportation

UK country’s home Secretary, Suella Braverman

Nigerian and other immigrant students in the UK face a high risk of deportation after completing their studies. This latest development is in line with a new plan by the country’s Home Secretary Suella Braverman.

Currently, Nigerian students and others studying in Britain are eligible to stay on for two years after completing their courses. However, Mrs. Suella Braverman is looking to cut that to just six months. After this period, they will be required to have a skilled job that makes them eligible for a work visa, or leave the UK.

Braverman has committed to cutting immigration and substantially reducing the number of unskilled foreign workers coming to Britain.
