The independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced to the public that it has no plans to postpone the upcoming general elections.

A post shared on the commission’s social media page reads – “Our attention has been drawn to a fake report circulating on the social media with the title: “INEC May Postpone Feb 25 Election by a week or two”.

This viral post is fake news. Nigerians should disregard it.
