Oyo State APC Senatorial Aspirant, Faozey, Asks Makinde To Honour Court Order, Congratulates ALGON

Mr. Faozey Oladotun Nurudeen, a senatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo central, has congratulated members of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria, ALGON, over their victory at the Supreme Court against their removal by Governor Seyi Makinde.

Faozey, in a statement issued Friday evening, urged Makinde to honour the ruling of the apex court.

NAIJAPOPSTAR understands that the Makinde administration had sacked the council bosses and their councillors few hours after been inaugurated as governor.

But the apex court overruled Makinde’s removal of the LG bosses.

My Heartfelt Congratulations!

I, Engineer Faozey Oladotun Nurudeen, wish to express my heartfelt felicitation to the entire membership of Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Oyo State Chapter, on today’s pronouncement of the Supreme Court.

Indeed, this pronouncement is an eloquent affirmation of the mandate, willingly, given to all the sacked chairmen and councillors by the people of Oyo State.

Your sack from office by the present administration in the State, which was overwhelmingly upturned by the Supreme Court, will go down the history of Oyo State as an act of impunity and utter disregard for people’s wish and choice.

May I also reiterate that today’s victory is not just your victory, but a victory for democracy, rule of law and the entire masses of Oyo State. This has proven the court to be the last hope of the common man.

Moreover, I urge the State Government to abide by the decision of the Apex Court and implement, to the letter, all the inherent injunctions as contained in the pronouncement of the revered justices of the Supreme Court.

In conclusion, I implore the beneficiaries of today’s pronouncement, especially all the members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to remain unprovoked; go about their lawful businesses in the most peaceful manner and avoid all acts capable of escalating the already fragile security situation in Oyo State.

Thank you. God bless you all.
