There was panic as the Buses evacuating Nigerian students and non-student suddenly stopped in the middle of the Sahara over non-payment of service charges to drivers.

According to Dr. Ahmad Small who shared videos of Stranded Nigerian students in IUA on Twitter, the drivers refused to continue the journey because they were not paid by the Nigerian government.

Students were seen crying out in the video, as they were gripped with anxiety and fears due to the discontinuation of their journey.

However, in a new development as updated by the poster, it was revealed that Hon. Abike Dabiri has spoken to NEMAnigeria DG.

He confirmed to her that the buses have continued their Journey and said whatever issues have been resolved.
