There was panic in Ekiti state as heavy rainfall destroys over 100 houses yesterday March 4, 2023.

According to reports gathered by Naijapopstar, several buildings were affected and this incident has rendered people homeless.

This reportedly happened at Oke Ako, in Ikole local government area of the state.

Ekiti state Governor, Abiodun Oyebanji sympathizes with the affected residents and pleads for calm in these difficult times.

Speaking through the special assistant on media to the deputy governor, Oyebanji said:

“Let me also assure you that the state government won’t abandon you and allow you to regret these current devastating conditions.

We shall give all the necessary support to mitigate whatever effect this situation must have caused to your lives,” the statement reads.
