Athletic Madrid’s president, Enrique Cerezo has confirmed that Joao Felix will return to the club after his loan spell at Chelsea as he is not in New manager, Mauricio Pochettino’s plans for next season.

The 23-year-old Portuguese International joined the Blues in January on a six-month loan from Atletico, shortly after extending his contract with the La Liga club to 2027.

“The truth is that I can’t tell you the plan with Joao”. Cerezo too reporters on Tuesday.

“The news that we received yesterday is that the new manager doesn’t count on him at Chelsea. We don’t have anything planned, Joao is an Atletico player for now.” He said.

Felix impressed during his time at Stamford Bridge with four Premier League goals in 16 appearances, but all set to be back at the wanda metropolitano next season.
