Police in Niger State has commenced an investigation into the death of a married woman at the residence of an NDLEA deputy zonal commander in the state.

According to reports, he was arrested by men of the Tudun-wada police division. This was a sequel to a report by a medical doctor in one private hospital in Tunga Minna on the strange circumstance the woman died.

Sources said the woman identified as Christiana was married and stayed with her family in the Gbeganu area of Minna. but was allegedly having an extramarital affair with the NDLEA commandant.

“The doctor raised the alarm because the woman was rushed to the hospital in her pant and brassier while her other clothes were later discovered in the commandant’s room,” a source said.

Police spokesman in the state, Wasiu Abiodun confirmed the incident. He said investigation was still ongoing and when completed the suspect would be charged to court.
