Paris Saint-Germain star Lionel Messi believes Real Madrid were not the best team to win the just concluded Champions League. The Los Blancos won the 2021/2022 Champions League after beating Liverpool 1-0 in the final at the Stade de France on Saturday, May 28.

Real Madrid defeated PSG, Chelsea and Manchester City en route to the final – where they then defeated Liverpool to win the Champions League.

But Messi claims Carlo Ancelotti’s side were not the best team in the continental competition this year, although he emphasised that their inferiority in skill should not take away from their champion mentality.
