Richmond Hill GA Shooting
Bryan County 9-1-1 received a call reporting the domestic dispute, with the caller stating that his father had shot his mother several times. The couple’s three children managed to escape the home and sought refuge at a neighbor’s house.

Around 9:30 p.m., Agi herself called 9-1-1, reporting that she had been shot at least three times, once in the arm and once in each leg. Law enforcement quickly established a perimeter around the residence and evacuated nearby homes as a precaution.

Negotiations with the armed offender, who threatened to shoot any approaching officers, began immediately. After some time, the offender allowed medical personnel to enter the home and provide aid to Agi, who was then transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Despite ongoing negotiations, the offender continued to resist surrendering. Hours later, the Georgia State Patrol SWAT Team discovered him dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in an upstairs bedroom.

The Bryan County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the incident.

“Hello everyone, my name is Tracy, one of Agi’s closest friends. I’m writing this from her hospital bedside. Last night, there was a tragic incident in Agi’s home. Her ex-husband shot Agi multiple times, and she was held for hours without medical care,” Tracy wrote on the GoFundMe page.

Tracy further explained that Agi’s recovery would take months, if not years, and that any assistance, including donations, goods, and gift cards, would be greatly appreciated. The fundraiser aims to raise $25,000 and has already garnered $24,300.

“Agi does not have health insurance and has a very long road ahead of her. It will be months, if not years, before she can even think about working again. Given the situation, we still want to protect her privacy at this time but will absolutely update everyone as the situation becomes more stable,” Tracy added.

The community’s outpouring of support highlights the collective concern for Agi and her family during this difficult time. Contributions can be made through the GoFundMe page to help alleviate the financial burden on Agi as she embarks on her recovery journey.
