Sancho On Target As Manchester United Ease Past Arsenal In Pre Season Friendly In New Jersey


Manchester United eased past premier league rivals, Arsenal with goals from Jordon Sancho and Bruno Fernandes to secure a confortable 2-0 Victory in a pre season friendly encounter in New Jersey.

Both goals conceded by Arsenal are in the first half from woeful defensive errors. Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale saw a shot from captain Bruno Fernandes skip in front of him and into the back of the net.

Few minutes later, Arsenal centre-back Gabriel fumbled on an attempted clearance, paving the way for Jadon Sancho race clear and fire into the roof of the net.

Despite Manchester United winning the game in 90 minutes, the game still went to penalty shoot outs as decided to entertain the fans.

Erik Ten Haag’s men also prevailed 5-3 in a post-game shootout, converting all of their efforts from 12 yards.

Casemiro, Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof, Marcus Rashford and Christian Eriksen were all successful from the spot, with Fabio Vieira’s miss for Arsenal proving decisive.

Up next, Manchester United will be back in friendly action against Wrexham on Tuesday, while Arsenal are set to face Barcelona on Wednesday, with both sides readying themselves for the start of Premier League action in 2023-24.
