Scores Injured As 'soldiers' Attack And Set A Police Station Ablaze In Ogun

Scores were left injured as armed men in military uniforms attack and burn a police station in Ogun state.

According to reports, the attack was a retaliation for an alleged assault on a soldier by some policemen.

This infamous incident caused pandemonium in the area. Residents and passersby run for safety throughout the attack period.

According to a source, A policeman was said to have stabbed the soldier in his chest during an argument. This triggered the anger of the soldiers who were said to be from 174 battalions Odonguyan, Ikorodu Lagos.

Responding to questions on the attack, the Lagos State Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, on his official Twitter handle said. “We wish to clarify that the unrest is at Ogijo, Ogun State, though very close to Ikorodu, Lagos.

“Our officers are at alert and would not allow any breakdown of law and order within Lagos State.

At the time of filing this report, the military is yet to react or comment on the incident.
