With increased cases of kidnapping in Nigeria, a new report on the number of Catholic priests kidnapped and killed in 2022 has been released.

In a report titled “attack on priests” by Nigerian research outfit – SBM intelligence on Monday, a total number of 145 attacks were recorded on catholic priests last year.

Reacting to this report, the ChrisAsstiAssociation of Nigeria (CAN) said: “the continuous killing, as well as kidnapping of Christian clerics in Nigeria, is alarming. This has to be stopped at all cost”.
