Sherry Schmidt dead and obituary, watercolorist from Southern California death
October 28, 2020. She was born on
July 1, 1968 in Washington Court,
Ohio.
She is survived by her husband,
Roger. Children, Drew Pollard and
Kevin Schmidt; parents, Helen
Stange and Dick Pollard; siblings,
Tony Pollard and Stacey Walley;
many nieces and nephews.
The family will welcome guests on
Wednesday 4th November 2020
from 4-6pm. At Newcomer-SW
Chapel, 3393 Broadway in Grove
City.
I’m a watercolorist from Southern
California, living in South Pasadena.
After getting my BA from Art Center
College of Design, I did freelance
watercolor illustration and
calligraphy for two greeting card
Companies, among other freelance
projects. I have drawn hundreds of
greeting cards and have won two
prestigious LOUIE Awards for
outstanding greeting card design.
I’ve recently found a couple of local
painting groups and have enjoyed
painting more than ever, developing
my impressionist personal
watercolors and gouaches
outdoors. I also started a blog a
year ago and enjoy posting my
watercolors and writing about
places to paint.
