Soldier responds to widely shared footage of Lagos State Governor detaining his fellow

The viral video of the Lagos State Governor detaining his colleague has prompted a response from a Nigerian soldier.

On Tuesday, January 2, governor Sanwo-Olu apprehended the soldier and four others for plying one-way along the Lagos-Badagry.

In a viral video, the soldier with the username General Salawu on Tiktok, frowned at the governor for describing the soldier as a ‘’useless boy”. He averred that the governor had no right to refer to the soldier as such in front of ‘’bloody civilians.”

He went on to state that if the soldier was driving close to his barracks and refused to be arrested, the governor wouldn’t have done anything about it.
