The Somali Federal Govermment has announced a total and immediate ban of Tiktok, Telegram, and Popular betting platform 1x bet in the country.

The East African country made this announcement via a National Television Broadcast on monday, citing the rising indecent activities as the reason behing the decision.

“The Ministry of Telecommunications and Technology announces the ban of #TikTok, #Telegram and online betting platform of 1Xbet, a move to counter and prevent indecent activities & contents, and extremism propaganda”. Somali government said.

The country is dominated by muslims with islamic religion being practiced by over 90% on the population.
