A pregnant Honduran woman and her youngest daughter were transferred on Thursday, May 2, to a hospital in Veracruz, Mexico , after federal and state security elements found them in a vulnerable situation, reported the National Migration Institute (INM). of said country.

Both were taken to the Cosoleacaque General Hospital, but until now it is unknown what their health conditions were.

According to the report, federal and state authorities, together with the INM and the Beta Group , rescued 407 migrants from seven countries who had been abandoned in three buses while heading towards the border with the United States.

Of that group of foreigners, four needed medical attention, including the pregnant Honduran woman, her daughter and two people of Ecuadorian nationality.

The INM stated that the 407 people rescued are from countries in the Caribbean, Central America and South America.

Migrant identification
Of this group of migrants, 91 were traveling in family units (30 women, 15 men and 46 children under 18 years of age).

While 52 girls, boys and adolescents found themselves without the company of an adult.

The rest of the adults were traveling alone, with 12 from Cuba, four from the Dominican Republic, 27 from Ecuador, 187 from Guatemala, seven from Honduras , 21 from El Salvador and six from Nicaragua. This group was transferred to the Acayucan immigration station.

On the other hand, the family units, as well as the unaccompanied minors under 18 years of age, were transferred to the shelter of the municipal “Grow, Trust and Wait” System for the Comprehensive Family Development (DIF), indicated the INM.
