The Department of State Services (DSS) raid on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) office in Ikoyi, Lagos, has prompted a response from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

On May 30, 2023, the DSS invaded the EFCC office, blocking the entire structure and positioning an armoured tank at the entrance.

The DSS agents also stopped EFCC representatives from entering the structure.

Both agencies according to reports have been at loggerheads with each other over the ownership of the building.

However, a source in the State House stated that President Tinubu has ordered the DSS to vacate the premises immediately.

“He said if there were issues between the “two important agencies of government”, they would be resolved amicably,” the source told TheCable.
