The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has announced the departure of the U-17 Golden Eaglet’s head coach, Nduka Ugbade after the Nation’s acrimonious quarterfinal exit at the ongoing AFCON tournament.

According to reports, the decision was made in the wake of the team’s 2-1 defeat to Burkina Faso, a loss which confirms that Nigeria Will not be at the next U-17 World Cup.

Before the shocking elimination, the young eaglets impressed in Algeria with good football full of attacking intent and purpose.

However, they were undone by poor finishing and defensive errors, particularly in the quarterfinal encounter against Burkina Faso.
