The daughter and granddaughter of
the Republican donor and NRA
executive died Sunday in a “sonic
boom” private jet crash, and lost
another daughter in another tragedy
nearly 30 years ago.

In 1994, John and Barbara Rumpel
lost their 19-year-old daughter
Victoria in a tragic diving accident.
She was buried at St. Charles
Cemetery in East Farmingdale, New York.

Few details about the diving incident
have been made public. The incident
came back into the spotlight when
Rumpels’ name came up again on
Sunday. The family lost another
daughter, a granddaughter and a
nanny when their plane flew over
Washington, D.C. Crashed in
Virginia, shooting down the fighter.
The family of John and Barbara
Rumpel bought an 11-storey
building in Melbourne and converted
it into a senior living complex called
Victoria Landing’ in honor of their
daughter.

“Victoria Landing is named after Victoria Rumpel;” said the touching
tribute. “Victoria was John’s
daughter who tragically died at the
age of nineteen in a diving
accident.” John honored his
daughter with the name Victoria Landing.

“With this honor comes a
responsibility to make Victoria
Landing the best it can be…to honor
Victoria and celebrate all that life
can and should be. Life is too precious.”
