A security camera captured the last moments of life of Génesis Lujo , 25, and her five-year-old daughter, after the mother decided to jump with the minor in her arms from the roof of the building where they lived in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Sunk in depression
According to her husband Radhamés Melo, Génesis was suffering from depression due to the alleged rape of her daughter by a foster sister.

Melo said that Génesis’s grandparents were pressuring her to withdraw the complaint against her sister.

“I lived in fear, I had to get up before her and also after her out of fear,” Melo confessed.

“Tragic day”
On the day of the tragedy, Melo recalled an incident at the hospital: “They told me to buy a sleeping pill and I went to the pharmacy to buy it, but she didn’t want to take it.” She also mentioned that she always slept with the girl as a precaution.

Genesis had not spoken for weeks due to her emotional state. However, on the day of the tragic event, she signaled to her daughter to come with her.

The little girl told Melo: “Dad, I’m leaving with Mom,” she said goodbye and gave him a kiss. “My daughter said goodbye,” Melo said sadly.

Shortly after, Génesis Lujo and her daughter jumped from the building, ending their lives tragically.
