July 14th, 2024 – Actress from popular shows “Charmed” and “Beverly Hills, 90210” dies at 53 battle with cancer.

90210 Cast On July 13th, 2024, Leslie Sloane, publicist of actress Shannen Doherty, announces the actress’s passing. Sloane states Doherty lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting. Sloane also states, “The devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie.”.”The family asks for their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace.”.

Fans and friends of the actress have been sharing well wishes and memories on social media. Fellow 90210 castmates have posted lots of messages remembering their castmate. Doherty wasn’t the only 90210 cast member to have recently passed away. Actor Luke Perry, known for his roles in 90210 and Riverdale, passed in 2019 from a stroke. Perry and Doherty played a couple on 90210 and remained friends for years after the show ended.

Doherty made a cameo in Riverdale after Perry’s passing. The show used a whole episode to honor the actor. “The care in which this show takes in honoring his memory is beautiful,” was what Shannen had to say about the memorial.

Most of the memories shared about Shannon are from castmates and friends. She doesn’t have many living or noted living family members. She is survived by her brother Sean. Shannen was also married to her third husband, Kurt Iswarienko, for many years. However, they divorced in 2023 while Doherty was going through more clinical trials.
