A woman riding in a Tesla was killed when the driver crashed just outside Kennedy Airport in Queens, police said Monday.

When the driver of a Tesla crashes near Kennedy Airport in Queens, a woman inside the vehicle is killed.

Just outside Kennedy Airport in Queens, a woman was killed in a Tesla crash caused by the driver, according to authorities on Monday.

The 54-year-old victim was sitting in the front passenger seat of a black 2023 Tesla Model Y SUV when the man driving rear-ended a gray 2010 Ford Fusion about 1:50 p.m. Sunday, cops said.

Both vehicles were heading east on Rockaway Blvd.in Springfield Gardens when they crashed near Guy R. Brewer Blvd. just outside the airport.

The 52-year-old Tesla driver then struck a white 2002 International utility truck that was stationary in the opposite lanes, officials said.

Medics rushed the woman to Jamaica Hospital but she could not be saved. The Tesla driver was taken to the same hospital in stable condition. The other two drivers were not hurt.
