Women Stage Protest Over Election In Abuja, Threatens To Go N*ked
Some Women in Nigeria have staged a protest in Abuja over the Presidential elections.
According to punch report, these women are under the auspices of ‘Angry Nigerian Women’.
These women stormed the main road leading to the International Conference Centre, venue for the national collation of presidential election, overalleged irregularities.
They also threatened to go naked if the Independent National Electoral Commission did not accede to their demands on why the presidential election polling units results have not been transmitted electronically to the INEC-result viewing portal.
As a statement of intent, they were singing songs such as ‘we no gree oo’, ‘Mahmood give us results’, ‘original results na im we want’.
Also, they were seen carrying placards with various inscriptions including, ‘INEC stop rigging’, ‘future of our children at stake’, ‘Mahmood give us our results’, ‘we aretired of injustice’, ‘occupy INEC now’.
The presidential election was conducted on Saturday 25th February 2023. There are widespread reports of manipulation and rigging in some polling units.
As a result, the electoral body is yet to announce a winner.
