Sentencing for local driver who crashed into a minivan during a police pursuit

A local man will spend time in prison for injuring two innocent people as he ran from police.

A judge in Warren County sentenced Derrick Banks to between eight and 9.5 years in prison.

Banks hit a cruiser head-on and kept going.

A short time later he hit a minivan after running a stop sign at Sixth and Main streets. He then got out an ran but was quickly arrested.

Two people in the minivan were injured, one of them seriously.
