DSS invites suspended EFCC boss, Bawa

Abdulrasheed Bawa, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) suspended chairman, has been invited by the Department of State Services (DSS). Bawa just arrived a short while ago.

The invitation is in connection with various inquiries into him.

This was said in a statement released on Wednesday night and signed by Peter Afunanya, Public Relations Officer.

According to NAIJAPOPSTAR, Tinubu permanently suspended Mr. AbdulRasheed Bawa, the head of the EFCC, on Wednesday.

The decision was made in order to conduct a thorough investigation into allegations of misconduct during his tenure.

It was revealed that weighty accusations of abuse of power have been brought against Mr. Bawa.

In compliance with the suspension, Bawa has been instructed to promptly hand over the responsibilities of his position to the Director of Operations within the Commission.

The Director will temporarily oversee the functions of the Chairman’s office until the investigation is concluded.
