The election petition tribunal for Osun Governorship Election has dismissed Governor Ademola Adeleke as duly elected Governor of the state.

The court ruled in a two-to-one split document that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should revoke the return certificate issued to Adeleke and issue the same to former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.

A majority verdict read by his presiding judge, Judge Tertse Kume, said Oyetola received a majority of 314,931 legitimate votes against Adeleke’s 219,666.
